“And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over and a new one just begun.”
Not a bad thought for leaders.
For me, I am often caught up in the moment or the latest small crisis. I have to remind myself to stop, reflect, evaluate and then plan.
It is simple notion to write these concepts here yet difficult to implement on a daily basis.
What have I done? Done for my organization? Done for my family? Done for myself?
How about you? Are you leading or just surviving? Sometimes it is a challenge to differentiate but may I suggest that you take this last week of 2006 and ask hard questions of yourself and perhaps those that you lead. What have you done?
